Family

Posted by: pmartin in Family Mothers Looking Back on

Today my mother is 70 years old and I've thought a lot about her lately and the type of mother she was and how her role in my life has changed over the years.  This reflection has shown me a sad reality in the world and in my own capabilities as wife and mother.

My parents have been together for over 50 years.  I have managed to marry twice and fail at both.  Over the years my mother has taken care of us all, her role changed as we grew older but she changed with it.

I'm a Ghostwriter...sounds fun doesn't it?  Well, is ‘Ghosting" for you?  First, let's define what a ghostwriter is and what they do:

Colorado - What A State!

Posted by: pmartin in WeddingsTravelMountainsColorado on

I am a born and raised Texan, and I am loyal...B U T, Colorado holds a special place in my heart and has since I was a little girl.  My family would vacation just about every year there in the Rockies, and my love for the state came from those great family vacations.

Estes Park, Golden, Colorado Springs, Winterpark, Lyons - you name it, I've been there, and out of them all Estes Park is a big favorite.

...That's about the best way I can explain Web-JIVE.com!  They are a full service design company, specializing in small to mid-size company websites utilizing Joomla! CMS content management system.  This means you can update and maintain most of your site yourself - not being forced to wait for weeks to get updates loaded on your site.

From a Freelance Writer and Copy Editor point of view, Web-JIVE created the exact website I wanted and needed.  They worked with me personally on development needs and services.  I call, they answer ... and it's been a process that I've enjoyed working on.

If you need a website, and want someone imaginative and knowledgeable, someone who runs their business with pride and who is committed to quality and customer service, you need to contact Eric Caldwell at Web-JIVE.com or call him at (501)588-1979 or (214)329-4452.

Here's a link for a blog on RSS Feeds.  It's helped explain a few things for me, maybe you'll like it as well.

Born, Struggle, Shrink

Posted by: pmartin in HumorAge on

There was a time when I was cute, free-spirited and full of energy...so, what the hell happened?  Could it be 49 years of semi-hard living?  I donno - (meaning, I DON'T KNOW.  I'm just too pooped to type the whole thing out).

Ms. Cute isn't exactly who I see in the mirror anymore.  Age is my expression now - A permanent frown across my forehead, slight crows feet and strong laugh lines, hail damage in places I didn't hear weather alerts for!  I'm not as bright-eyed and innocent as I used to be.  Not as dumb as I used to be either.

Weekend Triumphs and Trip Ups

Posted by: pmartin in Weight WatchersDietAge on

All in all, and compared with others, my weekend was fine.  I did however want to update readers on my progress with the Weight Watchers Program.

WEIGHT WATCHERS:  I've been doing great on it.  Sure I've slipped a couple of times, but I don't drag myself down because of it..instead, I just get right back in the saddle.
