I'm a Ghostwriter...sounds fun doesn't it? Well, is ‘Ghosting" for you? First, let's define what a ghostwriter is and what they do:
Why would anyone need a ghostwriter? Not everyone can write well but that doesn't mean they don't have a great story to tell! Others can write and have their story either in their head or scribbled on hundreds of bits of paper, they just don't have time to write. Their goal is not to become authors (like us). They have other successful careers - but THEY DO HAVE a great story to get out and they need help doing it. What are some projects Ghostwriters manage?
Why would you want to do this for a living? You'll have to answer this for yourself. I can tell you why I love ghosting?
It's never bothered me that my name is not associated with a piece of work I've written. I think of ghostwriting a project (whatever the project might be) as getting it on paper - the idea was not mine. There's one other reason I like ghosting and that's the money. I average about $20 per page. I've also quoted payment as royalty percentage (usually 30%) plus $10 per page fee ($10 per page off usual fee) - but these fees are negotiated by me and the client...anything is possible.
